Kimberley Rodgers is
21, and hails from South Australia. She may only be young, but Kimberley
has a lot of years of musical experience behind her. She competed in
Talent Quests for 6 years, always taking home a trophy. In this six years,
Kimberley took away over 100 awards - over 60 of those being 1st places.
She has won numerous overall awards, and became a household name around
the Country Music Circuit. In 2001, Kimberley stopped competing, and
decided to concentrate on performing professionally. As a result of this
decision, she has been approached to play in many different bands, doing
professional shows. She played in Young Country for 2 years, Graeme Hugo &
Ironbark for 3 years, and also filled in for The Sherrah's and the Radio
Cowboys. She was lucky enough to travel to Melbourne with the Radio
Cowboys to record a song for the Open Road 3 Compilation Album which was
produced by ABC Country. Kimberley also appears in a film clip for that
song. In the last 6 years of performing professionally, she has had the
enormous opportunity of providing harmony vocals for some of Country
Music's biggest names, including: Kasey Chambers, Adam Harvey, Grant
Richardson, Jake Nickolai, Michael O'Rourke, and many others - too many to
mention. In 2005, she recorded an EP titled 'Something I Just Had To Do',
in her home studio with her partner, Mathew Nitschke. This EP was released
at Lake Charlegrark in February 2005. This was extremely well received by
the crowd, which resulted in her selling out shortly after. At the end of
2005, she collaborated with her partner Mathew Nitschke, and Jodi & Craig
Stringer to start a new band - 'Fine Form Party Band'. This outfit
concentrates on mainly party music, which has taken them all over South
Australia, and are now known as one of South Australia's premium party
outfits. They made their debut performance at 'Hugo's Place' in 2005 to a
crowd of 1500 people, who were blown away by the new style and
performance. Since then, they have been constantly travelling, taking
music to the South Australian Outback. Coober Pedy, Glendambo, William
Creek, Oodnadatta, Wilmington and Melrose are just some of the outback
places they have been to - mainly performing for Gymkhana's and Rodeo's.
They have been lucky enough to be the support band for many big name
artists such as: Lee Kernaghan, Adam Harvey, The McClymonts, Steve Forde &
The Flange, and Tania Kernaghan. In November 2006, Kimberley married her
partner of 6 years Mathew Nitschke, and have now moved into a bigger
house, with a brand new recording studio. 'The Back Room' studio was built
by Mathew, and is now in high demand by musicians in the industry. At the
moment, Mathew is working on recording projects with Gary Mannion, Graeme
Hugo, and Kimberley is preparing to go into the studio to work on her
debut album, which is set for release in mid 2008. Kimberley has a lot of
accomplishments under her belt - a musical talent who not only sings, but
plays bass, acoustic guitar, keyboards and sings harmonies. Her husband
Mathew, plays drums, guitars, bass and also is a experienced Sound
Engineer with his own studio. With these two working together - it can
only be good news for the music industry. Don't get in the way of these
two!!
